Who are we?
We are a network of like-minded people who share a passion for enjoying the work we do. Our philosophy is that you spend so much of your life at work, so you might as well try and enjoy it. This typically means that we work with clients who enjoy working with us too.
This means that we are always full of enthusiasm for the projects we work on and will always do whatever it takes to help our clients achieve the outcomes they are looking for.
So what do we do?
Our areas of expertise are in:
Creative Thinking
Facilitation
People Change Management
Please check out the "Point C Creativity" website, detailing our collaboration with The Creativity Cooker Ltd.
Building on our strong facilitation skills, we can extend this into the field of creative thinking and innovation. As strange as it may sound, there is a ‘methodology’ to being creative and innovative. So if you need to generate ideas:
- in order to cut costs
- for new products or services
- to come up with new ways of getting teams to work better together
- for improving or defining processes
...we can help.
And it is not just about generating huge numbers of ideas
(although that does help), we have a tried and tested process for
taking ideas through to implementation through our structured
methodology.
We really focus on creating an atmosphere in which people can be
encouraged to think differently, and contribute in ways you’d never
have thought possible. Part of this typically involves holding
creative sessions away from your normal place of work. If you get to
work the same way each day, dress the same way and sit in the same
rooms with the same people we reckon you’ll be probably come up with
the same really struggling to think differently. So we’ll take you
to a barn in the middle of the countryside, an old mill or a boat
out on the sea if that’s what it takes to help you come up with
break-through ideas…
“The brain is a wonderful organ; it
starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not
stop until you get to the office.”
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun”.
Facilitation
We simply know what works when it comes to facilitation. We’ll work
closely with you to understand the outcomes you wish to achieve from
a facilitated workshop, meeting or event. And then from our years of
experience of facilitation, we’ll apply the relevant techniques that
are most likely to help you achieve these outcomes.
But more than this, we really do enjoy doing this. Our enthusiasm is
normally infectious, which helps generate an atmosphere in which
solving difficult work problems can actually turn out to be
stimulating and fun.
And if you want to be a facilitator yourself or want to build a
facilitation capability within your team, we have a strong track
record in delivering bespoke training to meet these needs.
Some quotes from clients we’ve worked with:
- “We should run all our meetings like this”.
- “That has to be one of the best structured events I’ve ever attended
– and I’ve attended a few I can tell you”.
People Change
Management
We really have got deep expertise in managing the people aspects of
organisational change. Everyone knows the famous statistic that 7
out of 10 change programmes fail to achieve their stated objectives.
And the main reason? Not surprisingly it is down to not investing
enough in thinking about the people side of change. People change
really does matter!
We’ve worked on scores of change projects and programmes in a
variety of industries and countries, and have the battle scars to
prove it. We won’t bore you with the detailed methodologies we’ve
made use of, and which ones we’d recommend using on this site. But
please call us to discuss this further if you wish to. However, in a
nutshell our approach to maximising the chances of success of a
change project is as follows:
- involve the people who are going to have to change in the design of the change
- involve the people who are going to have to change in the build of the change
- involve the people who are going to have to change in the implementation of the change and
- ask the people who you hoped will have changed how they
would make the change even better
In following this simple approach, we’ve build up expertise in:
- Communications (and involvement) management
- Stakeholder Management
- Leadership coaching
- Leadership team development
- Managing (and avoiding) resistance to change
- Training
- Organisational Design
